Commitment to Community

Crosby’s is so proud to have become an integral part of each community we serve.  From Western New York’s largest suburb to our hometown of Lockport, NY, to all of the many “ports,” “villages,” “towns,” “hamlets,” and “suburban” communities we are located in, Crosby’s continues to support the many community organizatioins that serve our customers too!  From fire departments, school districts, youth sports programs, cultural and healthcare related organizations, to the many civic and educational programs…we hope to connect to our communities.

Patricia Allen Fund

Crosby’s and Reid Petroleum Corp. presented an $91,089.09 check to support the Patricia Allen Fund benefiting John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital. Throughout the NFL football season, the Lockport-headquartered company raised the money to support pediatric critical care through customer purchases of “The Mafia Pizza” and “Circle the Wagons” 26 Shirts-designed custom T-shirts, and a portion of a designated fuel dispenser at our Crosby’s locations.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Each year, our associates throughout all of our Crosby’s stores engage with customers during the annual “Crosby’s Pin-Up Promotion” benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Customers and associates raised nearly $12,000 in 2023 with the many $1 Pinups at our 88 stores. Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.

In 2021 Paul and Katie Reid were awarded with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Commitment to a Cure Award for being strong supporters for 15 years.  Over the past 17 years, Crosby’s has raised more than $150,000 for CF.

American Diabetes Association

Our organization was awarded the American Diabetes Association Top Corporate Fundraisng Team in 2018 & 2019.  From 2012 to 2019 we raised $45,000 for the ADA.

Giving Back During the Pandemic

A number of our Crosby’s locations provided meals to local hospitals, nursing homes, and fire departments during the global COVID Pandemic.

Longtime Partner With Junior Achievement

Long time supporter of Junior Achievement – a national organization dedicated to providing young students with the knowledge they need to make smart economic and academic choices. 

We have partnered with industry organizations to support Lockport High School’s Robotics Club and their work in the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) field. 

Western New York’s Healthiest Employers

Buffalo Business First awarded the Reid Companies with their annual Western New York’s Healthiest Employers award in 2021.  Awarded in the Extra Large Companies category, criteria included the Popular Wellness Activities, the length of time our program has been in existence, along with the founding year of our company.  We take pride assuring our associates are able to work in an enviroment encouraging positive wellness and initiatives.
