Sales Associate

Our Crosby’s associates are the lifeblood of the convenience store operation. An essential member of our customer service experience, the position of Sales Associate offers great flexibility with positions available both as full- or part-time members of our Crosby’s team. This can make for a great career-starting opportunity for students, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available.

What You’ll do as a Crosby’s Sales Associate

Helping to create an amazing customer experience:

  • Greet Customers
  • Understand the Crosby’s “brand experience”
  • Prepare fresh foods and made-to-order menu items
  • Inform customers about the My Crosby’s Rewards loyalty program
  • Advise customers of Crosby’s specials
  • Thank each and every customer for their visit
  • Perform specific store tasks assigned by team leaders and assistant leaders
  • Follow the work schedule and understand the operations of the store

Shift Leader

Crosby’s Shift Leaders ensure that consistent, high-quality food is prepared and outstanding customer service skills are utilized, leading to the efficiency and profitability of Crosby’s.

What You’ll do as a Crosby’s Shift Leader

  • Maintain company standards for the preparation and deliverance of quality food products
  • Ensure that store has proper food and food preparation materials to fill customer needs
  • Preparation of our Crosby’s food service program
  • Maintain an accurate food inventory, including physical count, food ordering, and a weekly food cost calculation
  • Safely close store at end of shifts, and ensure security procedures are followed.
  • Track inventory regarding, but not limited to, accurate delivery and invoicing, rotation of product, dating and quality, waste and freshness
  • Ensure store and kitchen area cleanliness 
  • Train and update all store employees regarding the preparation and deliverance of food products
  • Check kitchen equipment for proper performance a minimum of one time per shift
  • Train staff and ensure that all food equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
  • Display supervisory and customer service skills at all times
  • Ensure communication between shifts regarding but not limited to special orders, food prep. needs, and duties
  • Ensure that customers receive outstanding, prompt customer service at all times
  • Maintain respectful working relationship with vendors
  • Support all store staff as necessary
  • Implement promotional programs and suggestive selling
  • Use up-selling techniques as directed by Team Leader
  • Communicate with Team Leader regarding personnel, equipment and maintenance issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Assistant Team Leader

Crosby’s Assistant Team Leaders ensure an exceptional Customer Experience through assisting in the development of a fun, friendly, safe, well-maintained and efficient work environment delivering the best pizza! (and other fresh made-to-order foods)

Responsible for all daily functions involved in the running of an efficient, well maintained, safe convenience store.

What You’ll do as a Crosby’s Assistant Team Leader

  • Perform excellent customer service and supervisory skills at all times
  • Maintain company standard for fresh food preparation and delivery
  • Properly train and supervise all store associates and shift leaders
  • Maintain a clean, friendly store environment
  • Perform daily store management and reporting duties
  • Grow sales through operational excellence, and monitor sales trends
  • Maintain respectful working relationship with vendors
  • Be available to work additional hours as necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervision, compliance, and development of all store employees

Team Leader

Our Crosby’s Team Leader positions offer the perfect convenience store leadership opportunities for passionate associates who are interested in managing a thriving store, leading sales associates, working with vendors, and engaging with loyal customers.  Crosby’s Team Leaders ensure an exceptional Customer Experience through assisting in the development of a fun, friendly, safe, well-maintained and efficient work environment delivering the best pizza! (and other fresh made-to-order foods)

You will be responsible for all daily functions involved in the running of an efficient, profitable, professional, well-maintained, safe convenience store. Ensures the delivery of an Amazing Customer Experience including but not limited to a friendly, fun work environment and the delivery of high-quality fresh food offerings and products.

In addition to being responsible for the actions of assigned staff, you’ll ensure delivery of quality service and products to Crosby’s customers.

What You’ll do as a Crosby’s Team Leader

  • Perform excellent customer service and supervisory skills at all times
  • Maintain company standard for fresh food preparation and delivery
  • Preparation of our Crosby’s food service program
  • Properly train and supervise store personnel
  • Lead through mentoring and retaining valued associates
  • Maintain a clean, friendly store environment
  • Perform daily store management and reporting duties
  • Grow sales by operational excellence
  • Monitor sales trends
  • Ensure compliance with all company, county, state and federal policies, procedures and regulations including, but not limited to food, tobacco and alcohol regulations
  • Maintain respectful working relationship with vendors
  • Be available to work additional hours as necessary weekend, and overnight shift

District Leader

Our Crosby’s District Leaders develop, train and mentor strong management team and staff to run an efficient, profitable, professional, well maintained, safe convenience store. 

Ensures the delivery of an Amazing Customer Experience including but not limited to a friendly, fun work environment and the delivery of high-quality fresh food offerings and products.

 

Ensure compliance to all company policies, state and federal regulations. Create a successful, growth orientated environment.

What You’ll do as a Crosby’s District Leader

  • Meet and/or exceed budgeted operating numbers for district;
  • Ensure compliance to all company policies, state and federal regulations including but not limited to food, tobacco and alcohol
  • Preparation of our Crosby’s food service program
  • Supervise, train, evaluate and develop strong management team
  • Ensure training in all facets of the daily operation and responsibilities of store staff
  • Monitor retail price changes and communicate information to all stores
  • Communicate information and changes to store management
  • Ensure that promotional plan is being followed
  • Promote Crosby’s reputation within each community
  • Assist in the training, developing and mentoring store associates
  • Oversee, evaluate and discipline as necessary
  • Ensure compliance for all stores regarding adherence to contractual demands of vendors
  • Assist in recruitment, interviewing and succession planning
  • Inspections and audits as necessary
  • On-call duties as assigned
  • Delegate duties as necessary
  • Oversee, evaluate and discipline as necessary
  • All other duties as assigned
